BBB Shred & E-Cycle Event

Your Better Business Bureau is hosting an identity theft and fraud event on: 

               Saturday, April 22nd from 9am to 1pm. 

Bring any papers with personal identifying information to be commercially shred onsite. We are also offering e-cycling for electronics. 

This is a FREE event; however we are accepting donations to our charitable fund to help in offering these events.

Canalway Bicycle Poker Ride

 Riding 16 miles on the Towpath Trail, cyclists will stop at five checkpoints along the way, picking a playing card at each stop.  When they arrive back at the start, they play their hand against the hands of the other riders.  Prizes will be awarded to the top ten hands, with other prizes given to riders who draw jokers from the deck.  Participants will begin at the Lake Ave. Trailhead and may start any time between 9am and 1pm.  This is not a race!  Entry fee is $5.00 per hand and riders can play as many hands as they wish.  Proceeds will be used for local trail projects.  All ages welcome, event held rain or shine.  New this year, we will have an After Event Party with Burgers and Beer available for purchase.  For more info, call 330-832-2771.  Event sponsored by Massillon Area Greenways Inc. Join Operation: Flags of Freedom for the 2017 Hero Hunt...this is NOT your mama's egg hunt!  You will need to come prepared with a flashlight and a bag for collecting the elusive "hunt capsules" hidden throughout the park. The patriotic procession will include the Massillon Tiger Swing Band, color guard units, dignitaries, scouts and other organizations, fire and police department contingents, the Massillon Public Library Bookmobile, and any other group or individual who wishes to pay tribute to the men and women who have given their lives in the line of duty.

The parade will start at the corner of Lincoln Way East and Eighth Street. It will head down the hill to Erie Street, where it will turn left and proceed to Tremont Avenue.  Turning left onto Tremont, the parade will end at Veterans Memorial Park at the corner of First Street Southeast, where the traditional ceremony will take place.
